Tuesday, January 5, 2016 - Day 9 of ZTD

What I accomplished 1/5/2016


  • 1 mile walk - morning
  • 1 mile walk - afternoon
  • Ate leftover Steak tacos for dinner (instead of eating out) - I had mine as a salad

Food Journal 1/5/2016


Breakfast:
  • Vanilla Hazelnut Latte from Einstein Bros.
  • Cheddar jalapeno bagel sandwich with egg, bacon, cheese and schmear
Lunch:
  • None
Dinner:
  • Leftover Steak Tacos as a salad

Observations


  • My teeth were filmy after the super sweet latte. I just don't enjoy the sweet as much as my mind thinks I do. It looks good, but when I actually go to drink it, it's not what I want, which is coffee with cream, a little bitter but not bad.
  • We left early because of the weather yesterday, so we didn't make breakfast at home. 
  • I did not want to eat lunch until I was hungry, which was about 3:30PM and then I had meetings, so I wasn't able to. I went home and had dinner instead, with extra avocado. Yummy.
  • I had a bit of a headache by the time I got home. So after dinner my productivity was non-existent.

Fixes



  • Black coffee or coffee with cream preferred.
  • If we leave earlier than normal due to weather moving forward, I could just get a plain bagel sandwich and remove the bagel. Or get up early and eat at home (preferred).
  • As much as possible, look at head at meetings (though it was last minute for this one). Otherwise, my other concern is getting enough food in the other two meals I have that day. I could do a smoothie once I got home, or a hot beverage with coconut oil to tide me over until dinner.
  • The hot beverage with coconut oil would help with the headache as well.
